UML Study Group

Location: Room 1 Date: Wednesday, March 29 Topic: Chapters 1-4 Hart Kerbel, Domain Knowledge Inc. mailto:hart.kerbel@sympatico.ca Some of the more than 30 people who attended the first meeting of the Study Group. In the first session I will _quickly_ go over chapters 1 and 2, then cover chapter 3 (use cases) and go into chapter 4 (Class Diagrams: The Essentials) as time permits. As we work through the text I will add my own insights, show Delphi examples as appropriate, and invite general discussion. I would recommend that attendees get a trial version of a UML tool if they do not already have access to one. Suggestions: 1) Rational Rose by Rational software (limited to 20 days). 2) Model Maker 3) With Class by Micro Gold I am not endorsing any of the above, and I am sure that there are other products on the market. One last point, I would suggest that attendees bring their copy of UML Distilled with them as I will refer to diagrams in the text from time-to-time.
