Embarcadero Technologies, Inc. seeks a Senior Developer for its ToolCloud Studio development team in their Toronto office.
As a Senior Developer for its ToolCloud Studio development team, you will have the opportunity to use your skills in software engineering to contribute to future releases of Embarcadero products. You will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including: participation in requirements discussions, design, development, defect fixing and performance tuning. This position requires extensive collaboration with other teams within Embarcadero.
Skills
- Highly technical, skilled, with a deep understanding of the entire software development process from requirements definition to testing to integration and delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to work with remote development teams across broad cultural, geographical, and time differences.
- Proven track record of participating in the on-time, on-target delivery of complex software products.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully collaborate within and across working groups.
- Ability and aptitude to pick up new technology and languages as required to get the job done
- Proven ability to recognize and develop the skills and capabilities of subordinates and peers.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple and concurrent tasks across multiple contexts.
- Ability to design and develop intuitive, modern, and engaging graphical user interfaces.
- A fundamental belief in the power of automation, and the drive to implement it wherever practicable.
Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other similar technical area.
- Five years of experience in the software development industry.
- Hands-on experience with GUI development and desktop application domain expertise.
- Sharp customer focus.
- Energy and desire to deliver high-quality software quickly via iterative development processes.
- Extensive programming experience (Delphi, C++, Java)
- Familiarity with Delphi and the Visual Component Library (VCL) an asset
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem solving skills.
- Passionate about software development
- Good communication skills in English is a must
